Welcome to the Midtown Midwifery Collective!

Mission

Our mission is to provide medically accurate, equitable, trauma-informed information, support, and services in a client-centered and inclusive environment to improve outcomes related to all reproductive choices.

Vision

Our vision is a future without disparity in health outcomes rooted in equal access, collaboration, education, and support.

We are committed to serving our community by offering care, guidance, and education that aligns with the midwifery model of care. The Midwifery Model of Care isn’t limited to one type of provider or location, and it isn’t about having a certain type of birth. This model has at its core being with, listening to, and sharing knowledge and decision-making with the individual or family according to their needs, regardless of whether it is practiced in an office, at home, in the hospital, with midwives or with doctors.

The goal of the Midwifery Model of Care is to support families in the process of birthing and helping them to find the information to welcome and raise their babies safely and confidently. We feel every family should have access to expert, safe, respectful, personalized, attentive, and affordable care. This type of care can happen in homes and in hospitals, medicated or unmedicated, with every type of provider.

We plan to expand our offerings with other classes and services, including support and education for other birth professionals.

Our hope is to provide a safe, supportive environment that creates collaboration and community.
